Here is a typical schedule for your Blepharoplasty Surgery – in less than 48 hours:

• Day 1: Arrive late afternoon and spend the night in a hotel. Rest.
• Day 2: Attend pre-operation consultations and tests. Undergo the blepharoplasty surgery. Get discharged from the clinic. Spend the night in the hotel.
• Day 3: Return home – morning flight.

Recovery from blepharoplasty surgery:

Do:

• Use ice packs on your eyes for 10 minutes every couple of hours on the night after surgery. The next day, use ice packs 4 to 5 times throughout the day.
• Use prescribed eye drops or ointments as directed.
• Sleep with your head elevated above your chest for a few days.
• Apply cool compresses to reduce swelling.
• Wear dark sunglasses to protect your eyelids from the sun and wind.
• If needed, use acetaminophen to manage pain.

Don't:

• Avoid strenuous activities for a week, including heavy lifting, swimming, jogging, or aerobics.
• Do not smoke.
• Do not rub your eyes.
• Avoid wearing contact lenses for about two weeks.
• Do not take aspirin, ibuprofen or any other drugs or herbal supplements that can increase bleeding.
